In ESPN article, pasted below. Obviously not breaking news, just throwing it out there for realignment junkies on the slow weekend.

Two quotes stood out to me:

"I always thought the Pac-12 would not ask us in with UCLA and USC because they would put us on equal footing, and we would be too great a competitor to let in," Dutcher said. "So now that they're gone and Southern California has a really good team sitting in San Diego, I would think we would be desirable for the Pac-12, the Big 12, a lot of conferences."

But he also mentions travel concerns, having just had to travel with his team cross-country for the tournament, he references the Big 10:

"Even though [our flight] was a charter, I thought, my goodness, those guys have to do this every other week to play a basketball game? It would be exhausting," he said. "It's going to be a real challenge to be at their best with that kind of travel. I'm wishing them all the best, but that's more travel than I would ever wish on anybody."

My take-away is, firstly, that they are planning on making a move most likely to the depleted PAC, where they will surely get an offer and where they had wanted to be for a long time, like us, unless they get a better offer. Again, not real breaking news.

Secondly, I think travel isn’t an issue for football. It is an issue for basketball and other sports, which could easily be solved with simple pod configurations or something of the sort which wouldn’t need to apply for football.
