A lot of research demonstrates that NPs are much more expensive
to a health system. There was a pretty interesting study from Mississippi last year that said NPs cost them about 3x as much docs. And that cost will get passed on to patients.
Best way, IMO, is a collaborative model, but even those can be rough when all an administrator cares about is RVUs billed.
