recent Red Letter Media about Cocaine Bear. I haven't seen it yet. But they said it reminded them of Blumhouse movies, which have small budgets. Typically a big studio will partner with a smaller one like Blumhouse for those movies. But Cocaine Bear was all Universal. Its budget was around $30 million and it has grossed over $80 million so far. The fact that a major studio financed a film like that all on their own might signal a change. I hope do.
