While I enjoy competition and winning. And I understand that even with the younger ages, kids and parents are still keeping score and someone is still winning or losing. The thing I love about the younger ages is that everyone gets to play. And everyone gets to play more than just if there is a big blowout one way or the other. Some kids aren't great - and that's OK. Put them on the field/court/whatever. Give them the experience of participating. Winning and losing still matter - but not as much as everyone getting some playing time.
