I find it interesting with the rapid advancement of chatgpt and others
that this poll is trending early to tech jobs. I understand it’s a vague term and certain jobs will be replaced quicker than others.

A lot will depend on how fast the minds in the driver seat are willing to push it I guess, but coding, data analysis, design are already being done on a basic level with these programs. It seems a few years away from making humans in these fields seem inefficient.

However, one thing that has always driven me crazy with data analysts is when they don’t understand nuance in data. When they take data at its face without a deeper knowledge of the subject which exposes nuance. Maybe this will be what saves data science for awhile. The human element may have to be more specialized in certain fields to analyze data at that point.

I don’t know. I’m just amazed at what the OpenAI team has figured out so fast. You probably know better than me. Feel free to teach me here. I just see many tech jobs migrating to few mathematicians running programs. Similar to the Citadel guys replacing floor traders.
