Hans love college football and he loves the state of Utah.
He gets excited for any of the teams in Utah to do really well and feels pride in that. It just so happens that Utah has been the team to most consistently do that since his playing days at BYU. He may have also been leaning into Utah a bit more to in an effort to not show homer bias to BYU and trying to appeal to Ute fans to broaden listeners to his radio, thus doing his job.
With BYU in the B12 now and a conference title to play for and a defense with new energy and urgency injected into it, look for him to be just as enthusiastic about BYU again, even if he didn't have this new gig. Hans is a good guy.
