Swing and bat speed looked really good, but there’s just going to be nights like this. Plenty of times last year where Mookie and Trea went 0 for 4 with 3 Ks. Right before the 2021 playoffs and he got that freak injury he was our hottest and maybe best hitter on a very good lineup. If he can get close to that form it’s a win. Plus he’s on a team friendly contract. $13m this year and $10m team option next year.

Chris Taylor is the one I’m most concerned about, he’s just a strikeout machine and without much of the pop or walks to go with it. I think that contract will turn out to be one of the few bad Friedman signings. Still 3 more years at about $15m/year.
