7:00 and sheriffs came around shortly after to tell us the canyon was closed. So we pulled into Porcupine parking lot and waited for an hour to see if there would be a chance. Twitter said 9:00 was the earliest possible opening. I've seen it enough to know that it was unlikely. So we bailed to come home around 8:15.

My understanding is that it opened around noon.

My buddy left home at 5:30 am and made it up, but I haven't heard if Brighton actually opened on time due to possible lack of staffing. If they did, he had some epic runs, guaranteed.
