Adding yewts would be a bad choice for the Conference and especially for BYU.

It would force BYU to split recruiting markets and include the program whose whole psyche ans ego is fed from the downfall of BYU.

It also forces the conference to feed another mouth while providing no revenue from new viewership markets or time zones. Yewts are probably best known foe first watching BYU games above anything else, so they add no new eyeballs. The only thing they add is another needy leech program to feed from programs that actually earn money.

I don't count this as schadenfreude but cheer the exclusion of the leech because it will help BYU and its conference succeed. Smart decision
