I knew he was paralyzed in a bike accident a couple years ago, but didn't know the details. I saw in the video that the guy just said that Shawn hit his car and flipped over. I figured that was the kid that probably actually hit him, and he was choosing his words very carefully to the 911 operator. I knew there had to be more to it than Shawn "hitting him."

And yes, if you care to look into it, there is. It sounds like the kid truly did nothing wrong. But someone else did, and then left the scene.

The fact that I just watched an hour special on this, and he never brought her up at all... And that he and his family still have agreed to allow her to stay anonymous... His ability to forgive is inspiring.
