RE: What benefit do you think it would offer someone not struggling w mental
This is going to sound super hippie and will make almost no sense/sound suspicious to anyone that hasn’t taken it, but it gives a new/fresh perspective on the world. One of the main benefits is what people call “ego-death,” where you see yourself/others without your ego, which I picture as almost how God views us. It expands your ability to love and be patient with others and helps you understand others struggles.

Before trying it, the religious and/or conservative side of me would have shut that idea down, so I get why people would be hesitant or think it’s dumb. But everyone I know that has tried it has also had major interpersonal benefits and claims it made them a better person. Personally, it has helped me with my own faith crises and strengthened my testimony. I think if used with genuine intent, it is beneficial to mind and soul.

I’ve never taken it as a party drug, though. I can’t imagine doing so would be beneficial in almost any way. I would recommend taking it with someone you trust, bring a journal, and watch a comforting Disney movie that will help you feel grounded (your mind will not be paying attention to the movie, but it gives you a pillar to come back to if you get in a dark place or need grounding).
