Yup, I think it might make more sense than Big 12 but doubt either happens
A big issue would be that this new APAC conference would have to be aware of what sort of media deals they could get before they'd be willing to pull the trigger.
And that means talking to ESPN (who would certainly be interested, especially since they'd be largely losing their ACC deal)
But it also means ESPN isn't going to be helping them to tear apart the ACC when they own that property for cheap
Overall, I don't think any of these situations happen with Clemson/FSU joining any conference except B1G or SEC

Unfortunately, I think it could make even more sense for them to join the PAC (or create a new one with best of PAC)
