And not just fell apart, that was a nuclear meltdown of epic proportions occurring over the course of 6 or 7 minutes.
By the time that first 7 minutes was over, that entire franchise — players and fans — were completely done, even though there was still almost 35 minutes of hockey left in the game. There wasn't one shred of resiliency left in their collective psyche. Sports are such an interesting phenomena that way sometimes.
When it rains, it pours, I guess. They were mentally done just minutes into that game.
