and how quickly those meetings got scheduled. IIRC, the Big12 schools spent about a month after the OU & UT announcement to try and find other P5 conferences that would take them. Then the "Alliance" formed with the ACC, PAC, & B10 which pretty much ended any hope of the Orphan 8 to find a new home. Then it took about 2 weeks for the 4 new schools to submit their Big12 application.

I don't know when in that timeframe that the Big12 and BYU started having serious talks though.

Anybody know how fast BYU was able to get all the approvals?
