Smart to sue the Lack-12. The UCLA portion will likely be tossed.
As a state agency, the Bowl would have had to file a notice within six months of damages under California Tort Law. Unless they preserved that right, they likely are unable to recover damages from UCLA.
What's interesting to me is if the parties had an actual agreement that the 2022 payouts were in lieu of 2021 payouts.
Either way. Salt on the wound for these future MWC schools.
