Can you point to where I said you did? Some people don't know how to accept friendly advice, I guess.
In your hypothetical situation, if a person were to post marketing hype, including a site link, that would be against the site rules, and would likely be deleted.
So, like I said, if you want to post a cool story, go right ahead. If, instead, you post marketing hype and pretend this is just a cool story, that would be moderated, and you'd dishonest as well as irritating. That's not you, of course, just your hypothetical poster.
