I get it…
…I feel a deep sense of wonderment regarding my first ancestor who came with his brother from Wales to the colonies in the early 1700’s. They came as indentured servants and worked it off working for the colonist who helped them come here. They learned to weave fabric and make textiles and settled in Maryland.

A generation later they had moved to Pennsylvania near Philadelphia and another generation after that heard there were Elders from an interesting new American faith preaching in their town. One member of their posterity went to listen about a new book of scripture, modern day prophets, revelation etc and was moved to join this new faith. He came back to his family and shared what he found and they were all converted, sold their farms and moved to Naruto then later travelled across the plains to settle in Utah.

Now several generations later I have the chance to enjoy those same blessings of freedom and being able to live the gospel, go to the temple and have an eternal family living in the greatest country in the history of the world. All because 2 brothers felt something strong enough that it motivated them to leave home, kith and kin to travel to a brave new world and start a new life. I look forward to meeting them some day and asking them what it was that motivated them to that end and what they felt.
