They're not dying in the Big East, they fit in well, have traditional rivals and perform well there. There's also a lot less travel in the Big East than there would be in the Big 12 so a slight payday isn't going to cut it for them. Yeah they're football program is in a bad spot but they're not going to make a desperation move for a slight bump in pay when expenses will be higher.
