Your Point: Utah has had better TV draw than any of those schools the last few years, as good as us or better, regardless of wether it is a “split market”.
Reality: Utah has benefited greatly by association with the PAC. The PAC is losing its top two brands and is on the cusp of losing 2-4 more. As slatecoug said, quit giving UU credit for being on the schedule of teams that draw much better. Just wait until the UU has a slate full of G5-quality teams and see how well they draw.
Your Point: Utah has been better at football than any of those schools for the last two decades, better than us.
Reality: Whether it was Urban or KWhitt as the head coach, UU benefited greatly by having an LDS coach at or near the helm for the past 20 years. Also, I am not one to tout the wonders of "winning" the PAC during the COVID year. It has been years since the PAC was any good and, with the departure of USC and UCLA and likely 2-4 more schools, the PAC's trajectory is downward. It's no feat to win the PAC and then force Ohio State's 2nd and 3rd stringers to beat you. It's no feat to win the PAC and then force the B1G's 3rd place team to beat you.
As to "better than us", so what? UU has benefited by its association with a P5 conference, while BYU has been languishing in independence purgatory for 12 years. While football is the driver, not everything is about football. The Big12 doesn't need a curtain rod basketball program joining the ranks.

Realty: So what? BYU is an AAU-quality school. But, BYU will never be a part of the AAU because being a part of the AAU requires you do things according to the ties that bind the hands when taking federal money. No thanks. AAU status is overrated.

Reality: Their fans are tools and need to be avoided. AT. ALL. COSTS. UU is a cesspool that taints the water wherever they go. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

Reality: Again, so what? There are other programs that are every bit as good a "geographic fit" as Utah, but don't come with the baggage or the toxicity.

Please stop trying to give Utah credit for Ohio State's viewers, USC's viewers, and all the other big named opponents
