Stumbling into jobs. Horrible DC at BYU and UVA. Bronco knew a guy at Vandy and got Howell hired as a secondary coach. Something happened to the DC and they bumped Howell up because they were cheap and Howell had some previous ‘experience’. BYU would not be a step down.
