I also disagree with the way MLS supports teams in the biggest markets first and foremost. MLS skews more toward creating dynasties than creating parity. And yet...so much parity in this league.
Anyway, I think it's great to have Messi in MLS, but prorating fees for non-Miami teams by how often he plays in a team's stadium during those 2.5 years seems reasonable.

It’ll be interesting to see the new rule the rest of the teams will now “have access to” for signings like this.
