Here's the thing about "insiders".
Many of those who claim to have inside knowledge it's usually because they know somebody who is employed by a University, or they know somebody who has a family member who works in the athletic department, etc. The point being is most of the "inside" information they have is typically 2nd or 3rd hand information at best.

**The one exception I will make to this is journalists who have spent years networking and gaining sources and have experience in vetting the information they are receiving. I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about the internet Twitter/message board/fan site types and the journalists like Monty who don't seem to know how to filter between good information and bad information.

What happens with many of those who my have a TINY insight into a program is that they have a "source" that may hear a little bit of information at work. Maybe it's an AD employee who hears some rumors and speculations going around his work about things. That employee talks to his buddy and shares those rumors with them. That buddy (who now claims to have "inside information") takes those rumors and speculations as facts and then adds his own rumors and opinions on top of it in order to present something to the masses.

In the end you basically get someone who felt a bit of a water-like substance on his face and concludes it must be raining when the truth is simply that somebody spit on his face. He's not lying because he has honestly convinced himself it is raining, but he has done such a poor job at analyzing the information given to him and filtering out the crap that he comes to the completely wrong solution.
