I hear a lot of gloom and doom about BYU football as they move to the Big 12. Now, I'm not saying that they are going to go in and blow the doors off but I just don't see why they won't be very competitive. I did a little looking and came up with the number that BYU went 7-3 in the last 10 games they have played against teams that will be in the Big 12 as BYU enters the conference next month. Yes, that includes wins over Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF. It also includes a loss to UCF. Those are teams that will be in the conference. It also only includes one of Taysom's demolitions of the Longhorns.

I do think BYU drew a very tough first year schedule with both Texas and Oklahoma. I'm very glad we are playing them and our record against them is also good. I realize year to year can't be compared, but hey, blue goggles in June seem to be working fine.

As a side note, BYU is also 7-3 against the PAC in the last 10 games played. Seems to my that through those blue goggles BYU may be alright in a "Power 5" conference. One way or the other, I'll be there in LES come September, and October, and November.
