I'm so grateful for those that served, sacrificed and died. On my bucket list is to see the Normandy American Cemetery.

I remember watching the Omaha beach scene when I was in training for the military. It brings such a sense of realism.

Thankfully there's Vidangel so I could keep out the more gory parts and all the swearing and show a few of my older kids.

I think it's too easy to sit back in our comfortable homes here in this free land and forget the evil of war that still goes on. I pray that the war in Ukraine ends soon. I hope my kids never have to experience going to war, or losing a spouse to war. And I hope I can keep a remembrance of the great value of our freedom.
