My wife will never read any of my recommendations, but maybe yours will
I read all of Riley Sager's books last summer. They're written by a man, but the main character in each of them is a woman. They are full of twists and turns and a lot of fun.
My favorite book of the year is probably Nathan Hill's Wellness, but if I recommend Nathan Hill to anyone, I'd start with The Nix. The Nix is probably my favorite book of the last several years. The first 10 pages or so may seem dumb, but it gets very good very fast after that.
