No....just work with him to find out the reason. Use the game as a way to improve communication. Something like "hey could we talk before the game about how come you are failing a class? And how could you remedy the situation and work with your teacher to raise the grade? Perhaps you are missing some assignments?"....etc. Rather than taking away good things in their lives, I usually use those as moments to help influence my children for good. My thought is that they will be grateful that you let them go to the game and therefore more willing to listen to you.
