yep, aggressive D will beat us
I covered it in another post, but the formula to beat BYU:

Aggressive, physical d. Realize bigs are only screen setters and no threat of going anywhere with the ball. So bump cutters, hedge screens, limit movement, get into cutting lanes, realize no one can beat you off the dribble (and if they do, they can't finish over your bigs), overplay passing lanes, jump passing lanes, trap. Basically, grind it out and get up in their face. These teams know they are a lot more athletic and it develops a great confidence.

We have struggled against teams with good bigs. Long bigs. Athletic bigs. It's because they know we can't finish nor are we aggressive around the rim. We don't attack. The only one who is long enough and has enough lift is Robinson and he seemingly lacks the ball handling skills and strength to do so or maybe the unwillingness to do so. Johnson tried a couple of times. He was swatted once and the other time he tried to get his shot up so fast that he threw a layup brick off the backboard. He was afraid it'd get swatted.

Stewart tried to do it once and he was stripped. The reason why is because he is a two legged jumper. He tried gathering himself for a two footed jump instead of continuing to bolt down the lane and jump off one leg. This allowed the D a short recovery...enough so to strip him. Take notice of most of his dunks. Almost all off 2 feet.

This is why Chandler is a unique talent. He has some shake to his game and is athletic enough to finish. I'm excited to see him play next year.
