I am not a proponent of cutting a current scholarship player to make room for a
transfer player.
If a scholarship player knows their role is going to be small and transfers, that's one thing. If the coaches ask them to transfer, that's another. The OP wanted BYU to cut a scholarship player to make room for him. Maybe it's mostly semantics, but I disagree with that 10/10 times.
