Everyone in our group is salary, and we all have 20-30 years industry experience. We all roll into the office (always in the office, never remote) at various times between 8-8:30, and we’re all usually here until 6PM most every day. Many of us work nights and weekends at home to get things done. He doesn’t have any kids, so doesn’t have to deal with getting kids up and to school every morning (all of us on the team have kids).

He’s usually in the office between 7-7:30, and it really bugs him that we’re not here by 8AM every day. So now he’s implementing an 8-5 core hour work day.
