With Kansas being a “basketball school” I was curious what their AD financials
look like. It’s crazy how much more revenue football provides even for a school like KU. It’s also crazy how little revenue every sport provides outside of football & basketball.
2023 Revenues by Sport:
1. Football = $45M
2. Basketball = $18M
3. W Volleyball = $182k
4. W Basketball = $138k
5. Baseball = $82k
Basketball actually earned more in ticket sales than football ($15M vs $7M), but the media rights and conference distributions blow it out of the water.
