BYU hosted the Regional semifinals and two days later the finals (Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight) at the Marriott Center.

Teams were Georgetown, Oregon State, Idaho and Fresno State.

Georgetown (Patrick Ewing, Sleepy Floyd) went to the final four, losing by 2 in the championship game to UNC with Jordan, Worthy, Perkins.

Much better basketball than watching BYU lose to Washington in the first round of the NIT.
