He has spoken about having to construct a team this year to be competitive because we didn’t have the type of players he needed. High volume 3-point shooting was the only alternative. I don’t think Pope wants that to be our identity.
To be honest, we were a good 3-point team, but not great one by any stretch. I think we were fortunate to get as far as we did. It seemed like teams had us figured out late in the season. Teams with physical defenders that focused on the 3-point line seemed to do well against us.
I felt like Knell, Johnson and Hall really struggled to shoot well late in the year.
