all the sudden drastically improved defensively. He was also 3/5 at Baylor. Was *only* 3/7 at home vs. Baylor. So why did he shoot worse at home against those teams than he did on the road? I would argue it wasn't because the competition was VASTLY different during the later 2 games. Yet the shooting percentages were different (7/14 in January road games; 4/12 in February home games).
MAYBE, it had to do with an injury that happened at the end of the UCF game and he never fully recovered.
I don't mind having a discussion as to whether or not he should continue to start or if Robinson (if he returns) would be better suited to be the starter there. I also don't mind having the discussion about whether or not a player can be found in the transfer portal that can provide meaningful minutes at the guard/wing position. Especially if Robinson leaves.
But we can't simply filter out and dismiss all the good performances he had and focus only on the poor ones and pretend the good shooting outings didn't exist.
