He and Amos Tversky were Israeli born psychologists that helped lay the foundation for the field of behavioral economics. I've read his book Thinking Slow and Fast as well as listened to many of his interviews--he is insightful and has had a huge influence on many fields. I think his work has/will stand the test of time, which seems to be an aberration in most of psychological research.
