My in-laws are 43 years and increased CC, still lost 11 rows and a section over
My wife and I have purchased 2 out of their 4 seats, for the last 20 years, and are their drivers, since we travel 200 miles round trip. We were fortunate to get in touch with a BYU rep for medical seating. Both my in-laws are over 80, my father inlaw has had a liver transplant, and I have severe Crohn’s. The BYU rep was incredibly nice and found us some seats for mobility challenged fans, which helped tremendously. Our previous seats were specifically given to us on and near the portal, on the row end, not too many steps for mobility and my Crohn’s. They moved us into mobility seating when they did the visiting section reset, and needed our previous seats they had had since 81.
I understand that there was a need to redo things, but there was very little importance placed on loyalty of those who are long time Season Tickets holders, unless they were also high CC donors. It really put a bad taste in the mouths of fans who have supported through the good and the bad. They only gave points from 1991, so many fans, like my in-laws, were shorted a decade worth of points, which would have made a big difference in time slot. We tried to play the game to keep our same tickets, by donating an extra $600, but our seats were gone a week before our day. I am grateful, though, to the respect shown towards those with disabilities. It would have been very difficult on 3/4 of us, had they not been so accommodating.
