Most sports are on linear local and cable channels. That’s what non-streaming means in this context.
Streaming is services that are not on linear cable, Peacock, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, etc.


YouTube TV (and all other similar services) is basically cable. Sure you are streaming it, but nobody is talking about that in the OP. It’s irrelevant. CBS, ESPN, NBC, Fox, etc. are still buying sports rights to put them on linear channels, whether you get that via Comcast or Hulu Live. Doesn’t matter.

The conversation is about sports appearing on linear cable channels vs only on a streaming provider.
