It sucks losing a great boss. Super funny, cared about us at work and away, and was realistic in his expectations. I've never dreaded a day going into work with him. Super sad he's leaving. I've been in denial all week that it's actually happening. Sadly we had a retirement party for him today so I know it's real.


The new guy starts on Monday. He's an outside hire. Most of our crew were hoping I'd get the job (I interviewed for it). One of the higher bosses said if it's awkward working under the new guy I can transfer to a different crew. I love my coworkers so I'm going to give it a shot but I might end up transferring.
