The odds of having a supervisor like that are so low these days. Managers don’t
mentor and try to help people grow for the most part. True mentorship is dead. They don’t see it as worth their time. Employees are just pawns on a chess board. If they do their part and don’t cause any headaches, they stay. If an employee needs coaching or correction or help, they find a way to throw them out as if they were a sack of garbage. Sad, but that’s how most managers operate.
