It really is amazing how true the stereotypes are.
The first time we went was maybe 2 years ago in Florida.

Our waiter person was a trans black dude that was like 6'9". He called me "hon" and "sweetie" like I was his BFF. While he took our order, we could see the chaos in the kitchen. Stuff everywhere, floors that look like they hadn't been swept in months, one dude with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth (unlit i think?), other workers who looked like they had just come home from 30 years of hard time, and the place was standing room only. It really was an experience.

And the food was way better than I was anticipating. Not great, but not nearly as bad as that place looked. The waffles were legit.
