Option A as the default is a solid upgrade over this last year. Football team is a bit better (getting to a bowl game) and basketball team is a fair amount better (4 seed instead of 6 - or 5 - and getting to sweet 16 instead of in the first round)

But compare Option A to Option C. You're giving up 4 wins, bowl eligibility and instead having a downright embarrassing season to get one extra win - that doesn't take you to Final 4. A is clearly better than C

By the same token D is clearly better than B. The NIT absolutely isn't a big enough deal to pass on likely getting a playoff bid. So D is clearly better than B.

And between A and D, it's just if you prioritize basketball or football
