times I've had watching BYU sports in 40 years (dates me). This can't be denied. So many times they came through with "unexpected" amazing plays. Being pleasantly surprised as many times as this team surprised many of us, and the grit they played with (fighting the refs all year), was rewarding to watch. Despite the unfortunate ending, take away that, and this year is right up there with many of the historic great BYU sports years: the COVID shortened year, Jimmer's last year, Ainge's tourney run, and in football, the Miracle bowl year, the 1984 Natty year, Detmer's Heisman year, and possibly Sark's 14-1 season with the bowl win, and the Doman / Staley offensive explosion year (ended bad with Staley injury). So, one of the top 8 most entertaining seasons to be a BYU fan, IMO. And from the BB team not the FB team.
