There isn't much of a track record of guys who have come into the NBA that old and improved significantly as players. You're probably getting what you see at this point - and in this draft, maybe that's enough. If you take a guy like Ron Holland or Cody Williams (two players who would possibly be around if the Jazz pick #8), they may end up being super-duperstars that you can build a team around. Or they could be complete busts. Knecht is probably the safest pick in that range, but given the current state of the Jazz roster, I'd probably prefer taking a swing at a player with higher upside.
