Since it appears a slow CB day, and based upon what's making it to POTD...

How many animals have you killed on your property?

I'm above 30 now.

16 skunks over 7 years at a property we had in Idaho
15 racoons over 3 years at our current place in S. Jordan

Killing skunks is tricky business, I tried all sorts of methods, trapping and dragging to the canal to drown them, trapping and shooting them... there really is no way to completely avoid getting a hint of skunkiness on you no matter the method. We had over 10 acres with lots of mature pines and those skunks loved to make their dens under the pines.

Killing racoons within city limits has been challenging in its own way. We tried engaging with animal control in South Jordan, but they're slow and overloaded. We have a crazy lady in the neighborhood who thinks it's cute to feed the racoons to get the mamas to bring their babies to her house. Unfortunately, those racoons love to dig up my lawn for grubs or whatever and destroy my landscaping. Started with trapping and releasing, but had too many close calls with the bigger ones trying to bite me when I tried to release them down at the Jordan river. Finally just ended up shooting them. But, technically I'm discharging a firearm in city limits? So I try to do it in conjunction with a leaf blower or something to mask the report of a .22 pistol. No visits from law enforcement yet... I will say that racoons bleed a lot more than you'd expect them to. I've had to pressure wash my fence and backyard sidewalk to keep the bloodstains away.
