And I worry about what it’s going to do to all of you “Pope is lucky” and “Pope hasn’t won anything” types. It seems reasonably likely that in three years we will look back at a Kentucky rise and BYU middling to mediocrity and will have to conclude that coaching at BYU is really hard AND Pope did a really good job here AND coaching at Kentucky is hard AND Pope did a REALLY good job there. I hope your minds can handle it.

Pope is sweet. The market it speaking. We’ve been lucky to have him. I hope whoever is next is up to the task.
