Me too! All "money, money, money," with so many of the truly meaningful and
rewarding parts of college sports being left in the dust. And this is gradually leaving fans in the dust also, IMO. Loyalty, and building something truly unique and special with people you're connected with, has gone down the rabbit hole, in favor of "greener" pastures for the individual, or the quick reward for the group.
Sure, no one can or will blame Pope for taking such a job, but the system that has resulted in this type of situation still leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Just think, would Lavell have ever left for Kentucky, or something similar in Football?? Very likely not, but the "money" part of the whole shebang was just far different then.
