When they can just up and leave whenever they feel like it? Or, if we do get to an important bowl game (football), he can just sit out so he doesn't get injured.

I'm all for letting the guys profit from their name, but how about we do it like it was supposed to be done? Pay a guy to use his name in EA sports video games. Pay a guy to do a commercial. Pay a guy to show up at your dealership and sign autographs for an hour.

But to beg fans to contribute to collectives to attract top talent that has no commitment to the school or program is ludicrous. Go somewhere else. I'll cheer for the guys who put the uniform on. I'll go to a home and away game as often as I can. I'll buy gear, etc.

But I ain't paying some recruit who may never suit up for my team.
