I don't get the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth.
Pope was a good coach but he's basically Kalani.
He's a really good dude who had a couple really good seasons. He also had some bad seasons. He also had ZERO post season success.
The only reason to be sad is that it looked like next season was going to be a great one. Spoiler alert: next season was going to be just like this season. A few great wins, a couple of bad ones, and absolutely ZERO post season success.
Here's a chance to build something new, and honestly we probably won't have to wait that long for it to be decent. BYU in the Big 12 is going to attract good talent.
