Of course, some unproven guy could turn out to be amazing in a couple of years, but players aren’t likely to get stoked about an unproven guy. So, to expect Holmoe to hire someone amazing from a puddle of candidates is wishful thinking—unless the former runner-up to Pope wants the job.
