All Norman wanted where player rights and being able to set their own schedules back in the 90’s….
Basically allowing players to go play other tours and still participate on the PGA tour. He wanted all players to have the chance to earn as much as they could.

The PGA tour shot him down and really trashed him for trying to change things up. They pretty much branded him with a Scarlett letter for daring to suggest it and keep suggesting it.

He has held a grudge ever since then, so when LIV came around he took the opportunity to poke the bear.

He definitely comes across as a bitter old man now. Too bad this is what it took for the PGA tour to wake up.

They still have a big problem with their non-major, non-signature events….no one cares. Sponsors pulling out or not being willing to shell out the same money. They have to fill that hole somehow. I am not sure if LIV totally dies or it morphs into something that might help.
