For those of you cheering for Pope’s future success
and those of you who are indifferent:
Do you at least have buyer’s remorse that we hired Pope?
1. He gave us no tourney wins and no conference titles.
2. The timing of his departure is really bad. We are just getting our feet wet in the Big12. NIL is new and players are as disloyal as ever. One advantage BYU has always had is our coaches are loyal, and somehow in a time we needed some loyalty the most, we end up with the excuse to the rule.
In hindsight, we shouldn’t have hired Pope. We made his career, and he gave us nothing in return.
